Listening tests, not measurements
The tests on this site play generated tones and noise so you can judge by ear whether headphones, earbuds and speakers work properly. They are not laboratory measurements of frequency response, distortion or loudness, and the results depend on your device, its settings, the connection and your hearing.
Volume and safety
Test tones concentrate sound energy at single frequencies. Start at a moderate volume, never use full volume, and stop if a sound is uncomfortable. Very loud low tones can overload small drivers; loud high tones are unpleasant and, over time, harmful to hearing. You are responsible for the volume you choose.
Not a hearing test
Nothing on this site is a hearing test, a medical device or medical advice. If you notice hearing changes, ringing or a difference between your ears, consult a doctor or audiologist.
Use of the site
You may use the tests and read the content for personal and professional purposes free of charge. You may not scrape, mirror or republish the content, or interfere with the operation of the site.
